Tel Aviv – Tel Aviv was targeted by a rocket fired from the Gaza Strip, 60 km to the south, for the second consecutive day. However, the Iranian-made Fajr 5 once again ended up in the sea.
„We believe it landed off the beach,” said police spokesman, Micky Rosenfeld. Eyewitnesses said that the rocket had landed „about 200 metres” from the U.S. embassy on the seafront, sparking panic among bathers, numerous enough despite the time of year.
The first rocket on Thursday landed in the water opposite Jaffa, the twin city southwest of the centre of Tel Aviv. (AGI)
